Geek Post of the Week #3

Being a geek isn't all about star wars and video games. Some times its just being really impressed with something very kewl.  

This year is the 20th anniversary of the B-2 Stealth bomber in July.  This plane was a remarkable feat of engineering and ingenuity.  To commemorate this auspicious occasion( big word I know, deal with it).  NortrhupGrumman commisioned a chopper from Orange County Choppers.  If you watch TLC at all you should be familiar with some of their work.  They are true chopper artist.  If you're not familiar with the practice it started after WWII when servicemen returned they modified surplus military motocycles to make them lighter and faster.  And the art form was born.  

Ahh but I digress, so let me present a very sweet ride.

I am very impressed on how they were able to capture the lines and curves of the plane.  The attention to detail is remarkable.  Nothing was over looked and the spirit of the plane was uniquely captured.  Head on over to the press site to view more pictures and get a true feel of the work.  Full resolution images are also available on the site.  Enjoy.
