Adoption Update

Kelly and I were talking the other day about how long adoption really takes.  I think everyone that starts the process feels that it will go very smoothly and you be adopting a child soon after receiving the letter stating that you have been approved to adopt.  But alas, that is so far from the truth.  I sometimes wonder if there just isn't an easier way [no snide comments allowed, I know what you're thinking and for shame allowing your mind to go into the gutter ;)] .  But as they say "It is what it is".  

I think the most important thing is to continue to remind people that we are still looking to adopt an infant from the US. That allows us to expand our possible selection pool as wide as possible.  If you know any one that is unexpectedly pregnant make sure that they are aware that adoption is a real possibility for them.  There are so many resources available to women and girls in that situation that there is no reason for them to go through it alone.  If you don't know where to start or what information to give there are links on the sidebar that will provide information.  All you need to do is mention the possibility. Heck, you don't even need to mention us because there are so many other couples looking as well, but it doesn't hurt.
